Glenn's Diner and Seafood House

My name is Adrianne, and I'm a Food Network Junkie. I love it so much that I don't mind watching the same episode over and over again. I peruse the website on a daily basis, and it's the first place I go when I'm looking for a recipe. So when I saw a an episode of Diner's Drive-in's and Dives that had a place near my apartment, it was a must try.

Even if I didn't live about a mile from Glenn's Diner, I would seek it out. I was in total awe as I watched this episode. Glenn's is a diner and seafood house that has a bar and over 25 different kinds of cereal. Yes. I said cereal. (proof)

We were in the mood for breakfast, so I unfortunately didn't get to try the million seafood options that are posted on chalk boards throughout the diner. I did have a guilty conscience because I was going to a place known for seafood and eating breakfast (I had spinach and tomato eggs benedict), so I did the sensible thing and ordered their bloody mary complete with a skewer of shrimp. It is made with a homemade (of course) mix, which was AMAZING. It was peppery, but not too spicy. Just the way I like it! It also had a lime, slice of melon, carrots and celery in it.

So I had the spinach and tomato eggs benedict (think regular EB minus the canadian bacon and add the spinach and tomato) which came with this incredible potato cake that had peppers and cheese baked right in.Plus I ordered a side of bacon (I'm a hoosier. We love our piggies). B had the French toast, which was (after my dad's) the best French toast I've ever eaten. The pieces of bread were thick, and had the perfect touch of cinnamon. He also went for a side of bacon, and I think we would both agree that, though we have no idea what they do to it, it was the best bacon we've ever eaten.

I was to the point where I thought my stomach was going to explode, but I managed a chuckle when they brought our check. How cute!

Overall I would give Glenn's Diner an A.It has a laid back, diner atmosphere with food that is far from just slapped on a flat top. There is something on the menu for everyone, and one Tuesday I plan on going back for the all-you-can-eat Alaskan king crab legs. Who's with me?!
