Holy Grilled Cheese
B and I woke up Saturday morning-ish, and he had the brilliant idea to try out this new place called Cheesie's Pub & Grub. This place is un-freaking-believable.

What the Puck?
So I'm an Indiana gal. Indiana is a basketball state, and I'm a football girl. That being said, I'll never turn down tickets to a sporting event, especially when I can be cozy in a box. But seriously, until I got some lessons using cutlery at a bar one night (thanks B!), I had absolutely no idea what's going on in the game of hockey. Saturday night I got to test out my newly acquired knowledge.

Home, sweet home. A trip to God's country
I am a native Hoosier. The BF is a native Illinoisan. I was looking for a good excuse to visit my brother, and BF is always looking for a good competition. Enter the Hoosiers vs Illini football game.

Nom Nom Nom
This weekend the BF and I were a little under the weather- partially thanks to a crazy last weekend we were still recovering from. Plus, I think my immune system is trying to get used to standing on a train platform when it's 50 and rainy.
Any who. An excursion wasn't in the cards this weekend, so instead of going somewhere we brought a little bit of Chicago to us. Nothing says Chicago like a little deep dish pizza.

Lesson #1: Plan Ahead
My friend Sarah came up from Indy to visit this weekend, so I thought it would be the perfect time to begin my challenge. We could experience Chicago together. As I began to research things going on around the city, there were so many options to choose from. I'm not much of a planner, and like to be super spontaneous- especially when it comes to entertaining myself. This proved to be a problem this weekend. By the time we decided what we were going to do, and went online to purchase tickets, everything we wanted to do was sold out!

My 52 week challenge to uncover Chicago
I've now been settled into Chicago for about 10 weeks. I got a job (yay!), and am finally getting into the swing of using public transportation. That's something us Hoosiers aren't used to. My car literally has cobwebs forming on the mirrors, but I love not having to drive anywhere. Speaking of driving, what's with the Chicagoans and their obsession with the car horn?
So now that I'm officially living here, it's time to start getting the most out of living in such an amazing city. I was inspired by a session I attended as part of Social Media Week Chicago, and so now I start my 52 Week Challenge.
