Holy Grilled Cheese

B and I woke up Saturday morning-ish, and he had the brilliant idea to try out this new place called Cheesie's Pub & Grub. This place is un-freaking-believable.

They have a menu with 7 different sandwiches plus a "sandwich of the month" as well as a variety of side items and soups. I went with The Melt which has American Cheese, Chihuahua Cheese, Marinted Chicken Breast, Bacon, 1000 Island Dressing, and Tomatoes on Texas Toast with a Pesto Mayo to dip it in. B went with The "Classic" which has American Cheese, Merkt's Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, (sans)Tomato, and Ham, on Cheddar Cheese Texas Toast and has a Tomato Soup dipping sauce (no you didn't read that incorrectly. A-mazing). I went with a side of the always addicting (and must order everywhere offered) sweet potato fries, and B had to have tomato soup with his classic sandwich.

OK, folks. Who on earth doesn't love a grilled cheese? These guys were brilliant when they came up with this simple, yet totally gratifying menu. A grilled cheese bar and grill? Genius. This is going to be the go-to spot we take people for a quick bite. They were absolutely packed, and people were even waiting outside. You can order online or take it to go, but I recommend eating there if possible. The gooey cheese is so much better right off the grill.

So just know that if/when you visit us in Chicago, you will be taken to Cheesies. Here's the menu so you can start preparing yourself.

Side note: I also tried Bob San Sushi this weekend, and even though it was actually really good sushi, it wasn't worthy of an entire post.

God bless you, Cheesie's.
